As a low pollution purification technology integrating separation and concentration, membrane separation technology has the characteristics of simple operation, convenient maintenance, low energy consumption and strong adaptability. It has gradually been widely recognized by environmental protection workers and people who care about the environment, and has been used in sewage treatment in related industries.

Flat membrane is a new type of wastewater treatment and reuse process that combines membrane separation technology with biodegradation. Membrane separation increased the concentration of activated sludge in the aeration tank, increased the rate of biodegradation, and reduced the discharge of excess sludge. The flat membrane has good anti-pollution performance, simple maintenance, labor saving, good stability, simple membrane replacement process, small footprint, and can adapt to higher activated sludge concentration.

The flat membrane can be replaced separately, and the replacement cost is relatively low. Due to the unique design of the flat membrane module, the membrane can be replaced separately without replacing the bracket during membrane damage and replacement. However, when a certain number of intermediate fiber membrane filaments are broken, the entire assembly will be scrapped. If the entire membrane module needs to be replaced, the cost will be greatly increased.

(1) Better anti-pollution performance. Compared with the hollow fiber membrane bioreactor, the flat membrane bioreactor can maintain high flux and stable operation at a higher activated sludge concentration, and has lower pretreatment requirements. In actual use, although there will be grilles, hair removal machines and other equipment in the pretreatment facilities, some objects such as hair will inevitably enter the aeration tank.

(2) good mechanical stability, no broken wire. In the actual use process, the phenomenon of broken wires of hollow fiber membrane modules will inevitably occur. The reasons include two aspects: one is the uneven wall thickness caused by defects in the spinning process, which is of course rare. The purchase of products can be further avoided; the second is the root fracture caused by the fatigue of spinning materials.

(3) Long service life and low operating cost. The average life of flat membranes on the market in domestic sewage, municipal sewage and similar domestic sewage treatment projects is about 5 years, and the average life in industrial wastewater, pharmaceutical wastewater and other projects is about 3 years. It can be applied to landfill leachate, electroplating wastewater, refractory organic wastewater and other projects.
