The international market for the development and application of ceramic membrane earlier. China's ceramic membrane started late, the early stage of development can not compete with foreign products. However, after years of development, domestic ceramic membrane enterprises have gradually realized import substitution by virtue of their advantages in price competitiveness, product applicability and global process services.
Ceramic membrane, also known as inorganic ceramic membrane, is an asymmetric membrane prepared by special process, such as alumina (Al2O3), zirconia (ZrO2), titanium oxide (TiO2) and other powders as raw materials. Ceramic membrane has good chemical stability, acid and alkali resistance, high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance and high separation rate. Widely used in food industry, environmental engineering, biological engineering, petrochemical, metallurgy and other fields.
According to the pore size, ceramic membrane can be divided into microfiltration membrane, ultrafiltration membrane and nanofiltration membrane. Among them, the nanofiltration membrane has a smaller filtration pore size range and higher separation accuracy. At present, microfiltration membrane and ultrafiltration membrane have been applied on an industrial scale in China, but nanofiltration membrane is still in the stage of planned preparation technology research and development in China.
Compared with other membrane products, the price of ceramic membrane is higher, but ceramic membrane is welcomed by downstream users for its good product performance and has strong competitiveness, which is manifested in two aspects. On the one hand, the service life of ceramic membrane is longer, mainly because of the high mechanical strength of the product, which has the characteristics of high temperature resistance and acid resistance, eliminating the need for high-frequency replacement of membrane elements; on the other hand, the membrane flux of ceramic membrane is higher than that of ordinary organic membrane. The film is nearly five times higher and the processing efficiency is extremely high.
