How to clean ceramic flat membrane

After a period of operation, the ceramic flat membrane needs to be cleaned to restore its permeability and separation performance. 1. physical cleaning
Physical cleaning mainly includes backwashing, ultrasonic cleaning and air pressure pulse cleaning.
Backwashing
Backwashing is the use of backwashing liquid (usually filtrate) through the membrane module to remove particles and contaminants attached to the surface of the membrane. The specific operation steps are as follows:
(1) Prepare backwashing liquid, which should have good permeability and solubility to remove pollutants.
(2) Filled the membrane module with backwash liquid, and closed the inlet and outlet valves to ensure that the backwash liquid circulates inside the membrane module.
(3) Turn on the backwash pump to make the backwash liquid pass through the membrane module at a certain pressure, and observe the change of the inlet and outlet pressure difference of the backwash liquid.
(4) The backwashing time is generally 10-15 minutes, and the backwashing liquid is drained after the end.
Note: Avoid using too severe backwash conditions to avoid damage to the membrane module.
ultrasonic cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning is the use of ultrasonic cavitation effect on the membrane surface cleaning. The specific operation steps are as follows:
(1) Immerse the membrane module in a container containing a cleaning agent.
(2) Turn on the ultrasonic generator to make the cleaning agent produce cavitation effect on the surface of the membrane to remove the pollutants attached to the surface of the membrane.
(3) Continue ultrasonic cleaning for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse the membrane module with water.
Note: ultrasonic cleaning conditions should be properly controlled to avoid damage to the membrane module.
air pressure pulse cleaning
Pneumatic pulse cleaning is to use the pressure change of gas to clean the surface of the membrane. The specific operation steps are as follows:
(1) Connect the membrane module to the air pressure pulse cleaning equipment.
(2) Fill air into the membrane module and close the inlet and outlet valves.
(3) By quickly opening and closing the inlet and outlet valves, an air pressure pulse is generated inside the membrane module to remove pollutants attached to the membrane surface.
(4) Continue to perform air pressure pulse cleaning for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse the membrane module with water.
Note: The pressure of air pressure pulse cleaning should be controlled within an appropriate range to avoid damage to the membrane module.
2. chemical cleaning
Chemical cleaning is the use of chemical cleaning agent to clean the membrane surface. The specific operation steps are as follows:
(1) prepare the chemical cleaning agent, select the appropriate cleaning agent according to the type of pollutants.
(2) The chemical cleaning agent is added to the membrane module and diluted with water to an appropriate concentration.
(3) Open the cleaning pump to make the cleaning agent pass through the membrane module at a certain pressure and flow rate, and observe the change of the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the cleaning agent.
(4) The chemical cleaning time is generally 1-2 hours. After the cleaning agent is drained, and the membrane module is rinsed with clean water.
Note: the choice of chemical cleaning agent should be compatible with the material of the ceramic flat membrane, and in strict accordance with the conditions provided by the manufacturer to clean, in order to prevent damage to the membrane module. At the same time, attention should be paid to the safety and environmental protection of chemical cleaning agents.
