Tianjin North Network, April 23: A few days ago, the "Demonstration Project of Pretreatment of High Salt Metal Manganese, High Ammonia Nitrogen and High Hardness Wastewater" of Guangxi CITIC Daxin Manganese Mine Company, which was constructed by Tianjin Seawater Desalination and Comprehensive Utilization Research Institute of the Ministry of Natural Resources, successfully completed the acceptance with the result that the recovery rate of manganese ion precipitation in wastewater reached more than 99% and the average treatment cost was reduced by nearly 25% compared with the contract target.
As the first domestic recycling project of tailings leachate in electrolytic manganese industry, the "demonstration project of pretreatment of high-salt, high-ammonia nitrogen and high-hardness wastewater" aims to realize the recycling of tailings leachate resources and environment-friendly discharge. Aiming at the characteristics of "high manganese, high hardness, high ammonia nitrogen, large fluctuation in water quantity and composition" of electrolytic manganese tailings leachate, the desalination institute has formed an overall technological route of "regulating crystallization-graded extraction-water quality purification", realizing graded extraction and recycling of manganese, calcium and magnesium resources, reducing the amount of by-product waste residue, improving reaction efficiency, reducing material input and energy consumption, and thus reducing treatment costs.
